Carbon Wallet app will stop services at 23:55 on 31 January 2027.
We will do our best to ensure a smooth transition throughout the process,
allowing you to continue living a low-carbon lifestyle seamlessly.

Please pay attention to the following important dates and transition arrangements: 

CW Points Expiry Date Arrangements❗

Expiry date for CW points earned in 2nd half of 2026 will be changed to 10 January 2027.
We encourage you to redeem and use your rewards with CW Points

as soon as possible on or before 10 January 2027.

⁺CW Points earned from MTR rides and walking challenge in June 2026 will be available for collect or credited from / on 5 July 2026. These points will count towards the 2nd half of 2026, with expiry date on 10 January 2027.

Still Have CW Points After the Final Expiry?

Unused CW Points after 10 January 2027 can be converted to MTR Points* via application
within a specified period.


Details will be sent in mid‑January 2027 via push notification and email.

🔔 You are encouraged to review the following suggestions
and take action promptly:

​

  • Use your CW Points on or before 10 January 2027

  • Turn on Carbon Wallet app notifications: Me > Settings > Push Notifications
    So you won’t miss important updates!

*The minimum redemption is 15 CW Points, equating to 20 MTR Points. Any CW Points below this threshold or remaining after conversion will be forfeited. Users must be registered MTR Mobile members to redeem. Application details and conversion rules to be released in mid-January 2027.

Other Important Dates 📅 

In addition to change of CW Points expiry date,
new member registration, points earning activities, rewards redemption, and rewards collection
will also cease successively starting from late December 2026.

CW Points earned from walking challenge and MTR rides in December 2026 will be arranged as follows: 
 

  • Walking challenge🚶: Points will be automatically credited by 5 January 2027 
     

  • MTR rides🚆: Users can collect points from
    5 to 10 January 2027    , with balances updated within the same day 

10 January 2027

  • Final rewards redemption & 
    CW Points expiry date⚠️

31 January 2027
